I started SweetLeaf with a mission to help women taking care of themselves. Women that want natural bath and body products that are free of perfumes and dyes, GMO-free and cruelty-free. As women, we are busy with careers and our families; we tend to set everything and everyone else first and then, maybe if we find a minute or two, we realize there was barely a moment for ourselves.
Growing up abroad and spending most of my childhood in a part of a country where supplies were limited, I was introduced to DIY (DoItYourself) at an early age. Creativity was key. Every free minute we spent in our huge garden. It was a huge resource for all kinds of goodies and essentials for daily life. Times changed in the 90s but what still remained was my spirit to create, and use what nature is providing me, and share it with others.
Over the years, due to my own health issues, I got a deeper understanding of all the possibilities on how to take care of health issues – Homeopathy, Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, diets, etc.. I tested many. Not only these experiences but also my natural curiosity and background in nursing kept me moving forward. No wonder that I prefer natural products over drugs whenever possible.
More and more people are on the same path! Which is awesome! And which brings CBD in the picture.
Living in Colorado makes it impossible to ignore the Cannabis topic. Well, to a certain degree I was able the last years – until more and more people were talking about CBD. When I finally met people with profound knowledge about the growth of hemp, the extraction and the processing in tropical products, it got me hooked.
Let’s be honest, CBD can treat so many conditions – and we are still at the beginning! It’s non-psychoactive properties, anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties – just to name a few – makes it very versatile. It has already changed so many lives. Also MINE. I’m excited and proud to be part of this CBD movement.
